Colorado Deer hunting in Unit 10

Stuart, I hunted Colorado unit 10 in 1995. It was full of small bucks. I passed up at least 15. I’m sure there were some bigger ones there, but I couldn’t find them. By 1998, the size of the average buck should be much improved if the winter weather holds out. I’ve been accumulating preference points again and hope to hunt in 98 or 99. Maybe I’ll see you there. Finding a place to hunt is not a problem. There is plenty of public land. I didn’t try to get access to private land so I don’t know about that. One more thing. The backroads in the unit are TERRIBLE!. When wet, they are extremely slippery…kind of a silty clay gunk. Plan on bringing tire chains for all four tires! Good luck. Earl in Cheyenne
